Many may remember Tara Conner as the drug addicted Miss USA who Donald Trump gave a second chance. In 2006, after testing positive for cocaine, most of America assumed Trump would strip Conner of her crown.
After the December incident, Mueller agreed to a plea bargain.
In a move that seemed to even shock her lawyer who was shaking his head, Portwood chose the jail time over treatment. She told the judge that she has been using drugs the entire time she’s been in treatment and that she “can’t stand” the program. The judge obliged Portwood’s request, and she is now in a Madison County jail cell awaiting her sentencing.
It seems that her bosses at xoJane.com told her to go to rehab – which she did, but didn’t stay for the full length of treatment and certainly didn’t stay clean and sober afterward. She also never completely returned to work and, as a result, says she will no longer be working for the site.
O’Neal, the son of the late actress Farrah Fawcett and film star Ryan O’Neal has had a long and sordid history with drug abuse. He was even in jail due to his drug issues when his mother was ill and passed from cancer.
It’s not uncommon to see headlines that dish on which celebrity is headed to rehab or guessing whether or not a celeb is abusing drugs or alcohol. However, few follow the choices made by celebs who successfully complete drug addiction treatment and battle their way through recovery by making one good choice after another.
