Sober Living FAQ

Sometimes a stay at an inpatient drug addiction treatment center isn’t enough. Sometimes the idea of returning home to all the pressures of work and family can be too much if attempted too early in sobriety. There is a way to take it slowly and do it in stages: a sober living facility. A sober living facility is a great way to transition from an inpatient treatment program back to the ‘real world’ with all the responsibilities and temptations that can be found there.

At Orchid Recovery Center, we provide safe sober living in addition to our inpatient and outpatient drug addiction treatment programs. As just one option in our aftercare program, sober living on our expansive estate is as beautiful as it is relaxing.

Do I Have to Go to Rehab to Benefit from Sober Living?

Most people go through either an inpatient or outpatient treatment program before they enter a sober living environment. Commonly, a sober living resident may make the choice to stay with us at Orchid after having undergone an inpatient treatment. She may feel that a prolonged stay in a safe setting is the best choice for her, although she no longer requires the intense, daily therapies and treatments associated with drug addiction treatment.

Conversely, someone who has taken advantage of our outpatient program may find that she needs just a little bit more support but having just undergone drug addiction treatment, feels that a sober living environment may be more appropriate than enrolling in our inpatient program.

Do You Receive Drug Addiction or Dual Diagnosis Treatment at a Sober Living Facility?

At Orchid, some form of drug addiction or dual diagnosis treatment is always an option. If you need intensive treatment and therapy, then our inpatient treatment program may be more appropriate. Your schedule during your stay with us will depend entirely upon the specifics of your circumstance. Contact us at Orchid Recovery Center for a better idea about what we can do for you.

Are There a Lot of Rules at a Sober Living Facility?

In general, there are a number of rules in place to keep everyone safe, emotionally and physically. However, the expectations placed upon you personally depend upon your needs and the treatment goals that you and your treatment team create during your stay. These will grow and change as you progress through the program and get closer to transitioning back home.

Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Calls to any general helpline will be answered or returned by one of the treatment providers listed, each of which is a paid advertiser: Rehab Media Group, Recovery Helpline, Alli Addiction Services.

By calling the helpline you agree to the terms of use. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a caller chooses. There is no obligation to enter treatment.
