For many years now, effective drug treatment programs for women have been few and far between. The problem isn't so much a lack of concern as a lack of understanding-women experience addiction in entirely different ways from men, and the treatment community has long overlooked what makes this process unique. Here at the Orchid recovery Center for women, we aim to reverse that trend via powerful communal bonds and an affirming approach based on the precepts of relational growth.
What makes our approach special, even among the treatment community, is our singular emphasis on the diverse ways women heal. Although much of the time you spend here is still devoted to group meetings and other 12-step approaches, we also offer additional therapies such as yoga, artistic classes and spiritual counseling. Combined with compassionate exercises and holistic techniques, expert approaches like these are far more likely to bear fruit.
Women, as a rule, tend to stumble into addiction from uniquely painful places. Whether the history involves abusive relationships or childhood trauma, women are far more likely to exhibit issues such as anxiety, depression and other psychosocial issues. At Orchid, you bring such experiences into the group and play them out via storytelling, role-play and more-essential steps for healing in the company of your fellow members.
Lasting recovery from addiction is possible if you surround yourself with trust, proper diet and professional care. Feel free to contact us by phone at anytime if you want to learn more-we're always standing by to offer help to those in need.
Orchid Recovery Center for Women takes a broad view of healing and therefore stresses the importance of complimentary holistic drug addiction and alcoholism recovery therapies to enhance the path to recovery.
Whether one engages in yoga, accupuncture, walking, jogging, a personalized exercise program, breath work, or any combination of complimentary holistic therapies, each activity is designed to help our women bring about serenity and balance in their lives.
All of our therapies address the challenge of successful drug rehabilitation as a whole - the mind, body and the split of the drug addict or alcoholic in early recovery are all key - helping our drug addicted or alcohol dependent women integrate, improve mind/body energy flow and explore deeper levels of serenity and connectivity, drastically improving the prognosis for successful rehabilitation from drug addiction, alcoholism, codependency, antisocial personality traits, co-occurring disorders (bipolar, psych, eating disorders etc.).
