Thanks so much for sharing your personal experience.  It's absolutely true that just because one method of recovery works well for many, it may not work that way for all.  I'm glad you made your point here because there may be others in your situation as well.  A person may have to try a number of different methods before they find one that really helps with the fewest problems.

		<description>I have to completely disagree with what you are saying about methadone not being as addictive as other opoids and that it is easier to get off of. I am a recovering addict, 21 months clean, I took prescription pain killers for 15 years and went through withdrawl from them many many times. I was unable to get the drugs that I wanted and decided to go to the methadone clinic, big mistake. When I finaly got tired of having to depend on drugs to get through the day and decided to quit it was so much harder to go through methadone withdrawl than it ever had been for the oxycontin. And it lasted much longer, 2 0r 3 weeks of pure misery, compared with maybe a week with other meds.</description>
